Diabetic Testing Equipment
If you are a diabetic, then you know the importance of checking your blood sugar. I check mine three times a day as my doctor has advised. We should all check our blood sugar as our doctor’s advice because it is one of the best ways to keep a good record of our numbers. S with that said, I would also like to bring up something else. If it is so important to keep up with that, then why doesn’t everyone stay up to date with the newest and most technologically advanced testing equipment?
I do not know the answer to this question, but it only seems right to stay on top of things. With today world changing almost every day, more test strip companies and glucose monitor companies are coming out with great new products. Products that have improved my life greatly.
I am so glad that I stayed on top of the game and found my newest monitor. My new glucose monitor does several things that make my life much easier. For starters, the test strips that it uses require a smaller amount of blood than my last one. This is great because I do not like having to through away test strips that were not able to get a reading because I did not get enough blood for the sample.
This really irritates me, because I am not only throwing a test strip away, but I am also throwing away money. That’s right I said throwing away money. Test strips are really expensive these days, in fact I did the math and it came out to about .60 to .70 cents per test strip.
Needless to say, I am very happy that I do not have to throw away so many strips these days. Also, my new meter has all kinds of graphs and storage capabilities that my old one did not. It graphs my blood glucose readings and keeps them organized. I use the ascensia elite test strips for those who are interested.
